Comedy Night: A Festival favourite with 4 superb comedians
Enjoy an evening of top-class, multi-award-winning stand-up comedy with a late bar. The proceeds from the raffle will be in aid of a local charity. The lineup for this year’s event is:
- Allyson Smith: her genuine and unique sense of humor, combined with excellent performance timing makes audiences laugh. This teacher-come-comic is ready to show international audiences why she is a sought-after fan favourite. Allyson is a multiple Canadian Comedy Award nominee for Best Female Stand-Up.
- Katie Mulgrew: multi-talented, award-winning writer, actor and stand-up, she has featured on BBC Radio 4, BBC Radio 2 and CBBC and ITV2. Katie is the daughter of legendary Irish funnyman Jimmy Cricket,
- Mike Newall: laid-back with well-crafted jokes and a wonderful dry delivery. Observational comedy at its best, razor sharp timing and a keen sense of dark sarcasm. He appeared on Britain’s Got Talent where he impressed the judges so much that Simon Cowell said, “it was like an Oasis concert where the music ran out and Liam decides to tell a few jokes!” He’s appeared several timea at the Edinburgh Fringe and is described as ‘your best, most humorous friend – only funnier!
- Ria Lina: Award-winning comedian. Doctor of Virology. Ria is also host of news commentary podcast “Ria Lina’s Behind”. She had appeared on BBC/Comedy Central/Sky News. Fearless, provocative, and very funny, Ria s a highly accomplished comedian, writer and actor.
