About the Festival

Established in 2008 by a small but determined group of volunteers, the Stockton Heath Festival is a four day event which takes place each summer in either June or July.

It aims to bring the community together and offer opportunities for residents of all ages and incomes to enjoy a celebration of arts, culture and heritage events within their local area. Each year the Committee seeks to bring a mix of professional and local talent to the village and venues in the surrounding areas.

With the support of local businesses, the parish councils and local people the Festival has gone from strength to strength and has now become an established and keenly anticipated part of village life. It is a registered Charity (Number 1127698).

How is it run?

The Festival is run purely by volunteers. An Executive Committee led by a Festival Director is responsible for putting the Festival together. Areas of work include Events, Venues, Fundraising, Marketing and Volunteers. The work of the Committee is overseen by a Board of Trustees responsible to the Charities Commission. During the course of a year about 50 volunteers from the local community help organise and put on the Festival.

How much does the Festival cost to put on?

Costs change from year to year but approximately £35,000 is needed each year to put the Festival on. This covers things such as hiring the Marquees, sound and lighting equipment, publicity, performance fees, licences, insurance etc.

How do I get tickets for the Festival?

Tickets are being sold via a Box Office in the Forge Shopping Centre, Stockton Heath which is open from 10:00 am until 4:00 pm each Friday and Saturday from June 2nd until June 30th when the Festival starts. Late availability tickets can be bought on the Festival field or on the door. Tickets can also be purchased online, each event listed in the What’s On Section has a Buy Ticket link where all event tickets can be purchased using a shopping cart process so you can get all you want in a single visit. There is a small surcharge made on online tickets to cover the card processing and ticket agency costs.

How can I get involved?

We are always looking for new volunteers to help with different aspects of the Festival and need people with all sorts of skills and experience. Who funds the Festival?

As a registered Charity the Festival is funded through several means. These include donations from local businesses, grants from the local Parish Councils, monies raised from the Grand Festival Draw, raffles, fundraising events and ticket sales.
